command line / pgpu shell
pgpu shell
Turn terminal access on or off for this machine. It is off until you turn it on here; no phone can change it.
$ pgpu shell [on | off | status]
Example
$ pgpu shell on Terminal access is on: phones with Shell permission can open a terminal after Face ID (no sessions open). $ pgpu shell off Terminal access is off. Phones can't open a terminal on this machine.
Options
on Phones with Shell permission can open a terminal, after Face ID on the phone.
off Block the terminal and close every open session at once.
status Show whether it is on and how many sessions are open (the default).
Sessions
Each phone can keep up to 3 sessions. The shell is your login shell, running as you in your home directory. When you switch apps, the session keeps running for 10 minutes so you can come back to it.
The audit log records when each session opened and closed and how long it lasted, never what was typed or shown.
